I thought my battery was shot. I got a new one and put it in. When I go to start it it has a hard time cranking. Like it hardly wants to crank at all. What. needs to be fixed and how can I check it or do I have to just buy the part to determine what it is. Its an 04 warrior by the way.

 

the starter could need to be replaced.

 

Could be alot of things.
Does it just crank over slower than it should? Will it eventually start? Is it better when the motor is hot or cold?
How did the battery connections look, when you put the new battery in? shiney and tight?

 

if tyhe engines really cold, try putting it in a garage ( heated) or find some way to heat up the engine.

 

I took the battery out and hooked it strait up to a charger w/ 225 amps and it was cranking a little better but still didnt want to start. Ive never had this problem with it being in my garage plus the other day it was in heat all day and still wouldnt start. Its about 2 years old. How much is a starter and where can I find one
