It hinders it, but not by a huge amount. If you are racing competitively you may want to take it out for max hp, but often times you cant and most trail systems and even dunes require them.

Default What does a Spark Arrestor do?
It robs a lil horsepower...mine is off my raptor...like the sound, and it gave me a barley noticable little power gain
