Raptor Recall?
You can do it yourself....just go to www.ripperracing.com and download the procedure. Jet and L and A one way from those guys to. They have great customer service. For an experienced mechanic with necessary tools on hand the job should take an hour max.

Raptor Recall?
Yeah, the only recall was for the rear brake system, which happened to me. My back brakes didn't work AT ALL. In the recall notice, they said that you could get a *FREE* dampning system installed at your nearest yamaha dealer, so i call up the dealer, he tells me that it can't be the "recall" problem (like that the defective dampning system was not to fault on the brake), he told me i had to buy a new brake system for the back becasue that damping thing would not make the brakes go away all the way, so i just said screw it and rode it for a week, and then i got tired of having no back brakes. So i just decided to try and bleed the brakes, bled the system, and waluh, the worked perfect...ufck stealerships

vibrations cause air bubbles to form in the line hence no brakes
thats why you had to bleed them

Raptor Recall?
Its funny cause from what I can tell the master cylinder and all is the same system they have been using on the Banshee and Warrior since '87. I have also seen brand new 2003 Raptors with air in the lines from the factory, people dont know until they go to put on a skid plate like PRM that sticks out on the side, then they have no brakes since the skid stops the peddle. Im not sold on the vibration reasoning.
I think someone was sleeping in QC, and they decided to recall and put some BS stuff on the quad as a feely good measure.
