Default advice please.... banshee bogging out.

ok. my banshee was running great, then I put the two k&n filters on. i then rejetted it... 2 sizes up. ( i had 270's on it, then rejetted with 290's). okay, so i took it out and it screamed like a rape victim. now, one week later, I changed the spark plugs and drained coolant and refilled. now it bogs out when i have full throttle. What the heck happened? the ONLY thing I could come up with was that my jets are either too rich or to lean, but I rode on those same jets ONE week ago and it ran GREAT. Any advice anyone? opinions?

if the tip of the plug is white then its too lean and it wont bog down if its lean and if its and if its rich then the plug will be black and wet. it will bog down if thats the case. you gotta check em right after you run it. dont run the machine and slow down to a stop. to get a true reading of whats happening with the mixture, run the bike for about a mile at a litte over three quarter throttle so that your main jets kick in and then pull in the clutch shut the bike off and let it coast to a stop and dont use the brakes if at all possible. I read this on the mikuni website because i was having a similar problem with my snowmobile and yamaha has mikuni carbs on all there machines so i hope this will help. post a forum after you've read this and let me know how it went.
