the pro are that they help you if you foot slips of the heelguard you wont break your ankle also they look good too the cons they make you dry weight go up but not much which there is no cons to it, i suggest ac racing but if you are looking for cheap try tusk they have some for 100.00 i think

2 reasons i dont like nerf bars r...
1) u have to take the heelguard off for some nerfs and id rather have the heelguard
2) mud cakes up on them and u cant jus kick the mud off

What about PRM's side bars its looks like a cross between heel guard and nerf bars

They look ok, but those would load up with mud A LOT faster than nerfs. They do have a footpeg extender, so its all up to you and if you like the looks. I know PRM makes REALLY good stuff and quality wouldnt be an issue with them. I have plain ol steel nerfs, when your out in the desert, weight doesnt matter that much.

Okay.. all i can think about is pros... The best con of nerf bars would probably be making a jump and landing with your ankle sliding under the rear wheel... believe me its happened....

Pros.. A must for racing.. i dont kno anyone who doesn't have them who races... helps break your fall with nets other than side bars which are also heavy. Nerf bars made out of lightweight aluminum are lightweight and the nets are very strong even if your 350 lbs..One of the best and 1st investments you should buy for your quad.. i highley reccomend Nerf Bars!!!!!!!

mud caking up on them????? do you wash your quad bud??? if you wash your quad after riding im absolutely 150% positive there will be no such thing as mud on your nerf bars..

.. even if there was mud so the hell wat???

Oh yeah--- They look good too!!!

i havnt put mine on yet but i have to remove my heel guards when i do and its gonna suck when my foot slips or sumthin and gets cought up in the back tire which makes me alittle nervous. I need the nerfs thou cuz lakots are extremely heavy from factory and my stock heal guards are steel. I mught just by the dg aluminium heal guards to go with the nerfs but those are another 100 bucks

I'm alittle worried about losing heel guards myself
