Default Help with persistent Warrior problems

I have two problems with a warrior. First, this quad seems to drain batteries like there is no tomorrow. Once the battery is replaced, it starts like a champ. Is this the stator or the regulator/rectifier, or some other problem draining a battery. The second problem is that when the quad is driven for an extended period of time, it won't start. Is this a carb problem or what do you think?

Thanks for the help

First, you should hear a click when you turn the key on/off. If you look under the left/rear fender there is a bunch of electrical parts. You should see a sealed fuse and solenoid, among other things. Have someone turn the key on and off and you should hear a clicking noise each time the key is turned. A simple check would be to see if your headlights stay on with the key off. Everything should go dead once the key is turned off. An ATV battery could drain a good amount of its charge just from the power being left on overnight.

Second, remove the battery from the ATV. Jumpstart the ATV from a good battery (either from your truck or just charge up the new ATV battery) remove the jumper cables once the ATV is running. Turn your headlights on and see if they work. Its ok if they dim down while the ATV is idle but by half throttle they should be bright. This is a pretty simple test for your 12volt system.

As far as the ATV not starting after riding:
Will the ATV run all day and just not restart? or will it quit after riding for a while?
When you can't get it started, do you get any spark?

Also let us know if you got voltmeter
