Default Grizzly starting issues?

My friend has purchased a '05 Grizzly 660 limited edition. He has a K&N filter, jetted, BigGun pipe, and clutched. He has serious issues try to get it started. I think its not gettin enough fuel. He thinks its flooding out. Anything he can check himself or do you guys recommend he takes it back to dealership for work?

Thanks for any replies.

Colin.

Have him back out the idle mixture screw 1/2 turn. It is on the engine side of the carb right under the outlet of the carb. Make sure that he is careful to mark were it was so he can go back if he wants. It will help if it is lean. I believe that you are right on the money.

I was told that the jet kits make the bike hard to runn in the cold, it just cuts out and quits but maybe some warm weather will change it. IMO

Could be a few things, most of which are carb related. Was the pilot jet changed to one thats bigger? Is the mixture screw adjusted correctly? Is there an intake leak? Has the enrichener(choke cable) been put back on and adjusted correctly? Is the enrichener working ?
Heres a quick check to see if its too lean. Have him take some duct tape, and tape over the opening to the snorkle, and close it off about 90%. Now try to start it. If it starts easier, then the carb is too lean.
