Default Ripper Racing reverse module PROBLEM

ok round 2... went back out checked all the connections and we are good.... all the wires are hooked up to the correct ones from the cdi.

The ONLY slight variance in the instructions was with

"Green module (shortest) wire goes to the green/white Wire of the raptor close to the wiring harnesses junction with the RED, YELLOW AND BLUE WIRE HARNESS ON THE RAPTOR"
none of my harnesses had all 3 including the green wire, there was no harness with a red yellow and blue together......

BUT i found the only green/white wire and used that, and in relation to the diagram it was the right plug, just didnt have those other color wires in the harness....

Are these directions good for an 04 rappy?

Well, this reponse doesnt exactly help you, but i was looking at that 25$ reverse limiter eliminater kit, and am glad you say it works good, other than the small electrical problem with the light staying on. I hope someone who has that helps you out, but for me, im clueless there. Good Luck---Rider1169

Default Ripper Racing reverse module PROBLEM

Call the guys at Ripper Racing and have them talk you through it. I put the same kit on a 2002, 2003 and 2004 Raptor and they worked fine.

Default Ripper Racing reverse module PROBLEM

If you guys don't care about your lights working....save your 25 bucks and bypass your limiter yourself. I did mine for probably less than $1 in about 20 minutes.

Search the forum for my thread....you'll find how to do it yourself there, or use this link of your lazy

Default Ripper Racing reverse module PROBLEM

calling them sounds easy BUT its the weekend and I want to go riding Sunday....And I really don't want to have to disconnect all the splices And I DONT want to leave it connected and something go wrong Any insight from someone who HAS already installed it would be nice, TIA

Default Ripper Racing reverse module PROBLEM

I installed the Ripper Racing module on my 04 and here is what I found. 1st. There is only one green/white wire. There is a white/green wire but, they do not mean that one. They want you to tap into the Green wire with the white stripe. 2nd. If you were to cut away more of the protective sheath on the harness, you will find that the 3 harnesses actually turn into 2. Down there, you will find what they are talking about as far as which harness to tap into. Being there is only one green wire with the white stripe, you should be fine just tapping that one. Good luck. Mine works great.
