How high were you reving it before it when bang. I would drain all the old gas out and refill it with fresh stuff. check the compress and see what it is if you reved it to high you may have bent a valve. How loud is the ticking you hearing. Is it cam speed or crank speed

Near red line, but not off the rev limited. The ticking is very loud but still start and runs fine, I'm affraid that it might be a bent valve

If you do a compression test you should be able to tell if it has a bent valve

Not positive, but I think stock compression for a four stroke like this is 125 psi or so, never took mine after the 10.25 to 1 piston, but I'm sure it would be higher than that.

why do you think you would have bent a valve? The motor obviosly isnt running lean, wich is one of the ways you can bend a valve, heat. The other way would be timing. If you timing is off it can also bend a valve. If your motor hasnt been torn apart and its not running lean (wich could throw off timing) then more than likely you havnt bent a valve. More than likely its runnig rich wich will cause backfiring, could possibly be the noise you heard. The ticking noise is likely to be valve related. I belive it may be that adjustment is needed. hope this helps
make sure to test your compression.

Well I'm going to start by draining the gas and adding Sea Foam and chaging the spark plug. If this does not work I'll have to bring it to the dealer because anything else is out of my expertize

Over reving can also cause bent valves. The valves float and the piston closes them
