*HELP, 350cc motor (Wolverine & Warrior)
How high were you reving it before it when bang. I would drain all the old gas out and refill it with fresh stuff. check the compress and see what it is if you reved it to high you may have bent a valve. How loud is the ticking you hearing. Is it cam speed or crank speed

why do you think you would have bent a valve? The motor obviosly isnt running lean, wich is one of the ways you can bend a valve, heat. The other way would be timing. If you timing is off it can also bend a valve. If your motor hasnt been torn apart and its not running lean (wich could throw off timing) then more than likely you havnt bent a valve. More than likely its runnig rich wich will cause backfiring, could possibly be the noise you heard. The ticking noise is likely to be valve related. I belive it may be that adjustment is needed. hope this helps
