Default *HELP, 350cc motor (Wolverine & Warrior)

Well, I just took my 2000 Yamaha Wolverine for a short spring time ride (after sitting for 3 months).

It ran great but after i retured i notice that the wall in my garage was a little black near the exhaust. So I desided to rev it hard in neutral and a little black smoke would come out. I thought this was carbon so I thought I was doing good by burning it off. When out of nowhere as I let off the gas I hear a little "bang" and now the motor sounds like sh^t. It runs and start still, but it has a loud ticking sound during idle!!!!!!!

Did I just toast my motor? What did I break?

Thanks in advace for all your help and input

Not sure did you check plug to see if was running lean and maybe burnt something up, also gas doesnt sit well try draing fuel and cleaning carb. Id do a few easy checks before giving to a dealer

Mine does that when i have the choke up, its basically unburnt fuel, you may be running a little rich now that its warming up.

Pull the plug and look at it, if its black then your running too rich, it could be something simple like jetting, i wouldn't be too worried until you have that factored out.

Well, pulled the plug and the good news its not full of metal, but its Black dry and full of carben i guess, it looked like the plug was in ashes, totally dry and black.
