Default Greatest problem

Ok here it goes, my 01 Raptor thinks its in reverse when its not, ill cruse in 2nd then the red reverse light comes on and my motor bogs down then i pull in the clutch and out again then its fine till it happens 20 seconds later, this happens in everygear. I took the revese cable out I cut the reverse wire from the CDI and it still does it. This has happend before and i took it to yamaha and they said they put a new reverse switch on it, i dont know how that fixed it but it did and i planned to go riding for 3 days leaving tomorrow!!!!!! Ive been looking in my Clymer book but that doesent say anything about it. Does anyone have any ideas????
