I've seen alot of stock cylinders ported and welded on the sides but JB weld??!! any opions would be greatly appreciated!

 

I have seen it a few times. You have a problem with pin holes in welds that you don't have with epoxy.

 

Smoother finish and also help to insulate the intake gasses from the heat of the head. Both thing you love on intake ports. Welding the head can also cause it to warp. The guys that weld them spend hour doing small peaces and its a big expense compared to JB weld.

 

Well with the vibrations of the motor I JB welded mine and it ran good on idle for a few days but when I went out for a ride and the first 5 mins it opened up.

Its only a cylinder so I would just get one on ebay.

 

Yeah I think it's epoxy....just wanted a couple of opions to see if it was a common thing, because i have never seen it! I posted the same comment on other forums and from the replies it's pretty common. I was just curious and I do appreciate all the replies!
