How to make a warrior 400+ ccs
#3
alba and powroll both make 400+ cc kits for the Warrior
the 400 kit when done properly is supposed to make around 30+ HP. You have to do some engine disassembly yourself I think and send the jug and piston and crank and such to them .. or just take the whole quad in. Bad04Warrior just had his finished up a short time ago and it seems to have wicked power from the video he posted .. you can ask him all about it.

no idea on the cost .. you're looking in the neighborhood of close to a grand I'm sure .. best bet is to contact them .. someone here should have that info. Mine's a simple 350 and no plans to update to larger other than maybe buying a Z400

I've been down the Big Bore Warrior route before, and I did the Powroll 400cc kit.
It was a 5.6mm stroker crank and .080" big bore.
Ported and polished the head on their flow bench for documented 10-30% flow gains.
Went with the .430/.430 high lift cam over the stock .380/.382.
I was able to hang neck and neck with 400ex's, but any of todays newer quads like a Z400 would most likely smoke a 400cc Warrior.
The warrior is just a dated 2 valve head motor, and the frame geometry and suspension is quite outdated too. I was running Works Shocks with dual rate springs.
Would I do the big bore again? NOPE, all said and done you're going to put close to $1200-1500 into the motor to do the full package with head and cam, and with any gain that adds 25-40% over stock, reliability goes way down too. I was even running a oiler cooler too.
The 400cc Warrior motor also grenaded after only 2 years and threw the rod punching 2 large holes in the lower case totalling the whole motor.
You'd be MUCH better off saving that $1500, selling your Warrior for $2500-3500 depending on the year and condition, then just putting all that money towards a newer quad like a YFZ450, Z400, Honda 450R, or what I did was get into a 500cc Predator and I've never been happier.
check out my website in my profile for the 400cc Warrior section in detail with flow bench chart data.
