Yep, I can't hook this b!tch up now. 5th gear its still blowing the tires off. The shearers come on so strong and suddenly that it is almost unrideable. The loose 2 HP to CPI through the mid, but pull a lot harder and farther than CPI. I actually can't give all the credit for the new found power to the shearers. I have switched cylinders and carbs since I last raced it.

Default Banshee backfires

i have a 96 yamaha banshee and only 1 cylinder is fireing after the tope end has just been rebuilt cylinder was firing then just cut out on me while breaking in the engine(wasn't beating on it).....sometimes if i rev the bike up the cylinder will fire again but only for about 2 or 3 seconds. i have changed the gas cleaned the carbs and sycro them too....just put new plugs in and if you rev it up high now you don't feel anything coming out of that exhaust....any advice on what could be the problem??????

Barrons, is your bike hard to start?

There is a 2.5-3" long black tube that connects the carbs. It goes in front of the slides, just above the bore. Many people forget to put this tube back in after having the carbs off.

it starts within like 3 or 4 kick usurally but i did replace the balance tube after the engine was rebuilt....forgot to mention also that the bike was backfiring some and sounded like a intermitate misifire from the left side before the cylinder went compleatly and i do still have spark
