yfz450 horsepower

Theres a nice post on another forum by a guy who has hotcams, 12.5:1. and GYTR intake/exhaust. He got 49 on the dyno. So.... if you listen to all these guys who swear a pipe will add 10hp and the cam mod 3 or 4, match that to what a high comp piston and cam would add, errrr never mind.. we will just ignore them. Im "guessing" they start with mid to upper 30s.

There is an article in the latest dirtwheels about the pulsecharger exhaust, and it has a dyno for a stock 450 and a one wiht pipe, if you want to believe that, it says stock is, 37.5hp 25.4 ft/lbs.
MIke.

i dunno exactly but you can check my pics out and see exactly what i done and that gytr pipe doesnt give you much HP or power gain compared to the dr. yoshimura pipes or the sparks racing... but i can tell ya with what i did on mine it is very fast and handles great, not many bikes out there can touch it...

This sets it up like the dirtbike engine. Most of the HP gains are in the upper RPMs.

Yep, I have access to 3 dynos and lots of 450's come by each week for dyno tunes. Stock around 36HP, and around 47HP with cam mod, bigger main jet, open airbox, Pro flow adaptor and foam air cleaner and slip-on pipe. With a full pipe you might gain another HP or so. 47 to 49 are about right.
