BLASTER TUNING HELP!
#1
I installed a bills silencer on my blaster. I put a 250 main jet in the carb and removed the air box lid and adjusted the air screw out 2 turns from stock.
It seems to have great power with this combination but it gets very hot. The plug is burning light brown...
Is this combo ok or is the quad over heating? What should I change? Any info would be greatly apreciated.

Remember that 2-strokes run very well when they are leaned out. Even tho it may pull hard and have lots of power you should still be constantly doing plug checks to make sure. 250 does sound a bit low to me. Usually when you remove the lid you should instantly jump up at least 2 sizes on the main and possiably one on the pilot. Are you sure your doing proper plug checks to get a accurate reading? Gas, clutch, kill?

Did the pipe setup come with jetting instructions? if thats what they said to do then it should be fine. If it didnt come with instructions i would recommend trying out a 260 main jet because a 250 might run a little lean. Try the 260 then do your plug checks. If it still runs good then keep the 260 because it wont run as hott. As for the pilot screw 2 full turns out is kind of a lot. i know when i put on my toomey pipe it said to only turn the screw 3/4 out from all the way in. So if i were u i would run it at about 1 or 1 1/2 turns out from fully in. As far as the pilot jet goes i wouldnt worry about changing that.
