Why doesn't my Blaster Have any top end?
#1
I have a 2000 Blaster that is about two months old. the only mods that I have made to it is adding a FMF Fatty and Powercore II. When I hit near half throttle and then advance the throttle to full there is no change. The engien doesn't seem to change speed from half throttle to full throttle. When you buy a new Blaster is the throttle limiter set only to allow the engine to rev up to half throttle and no further? Or does the change in pipe make it feel that way? On a straight away a fully stock warrior passes me like I am in reverse. Does anyone know what is wrong if anything at all?
Thanks,
Anthony

From the sound of it, your carb slide may not be opening all the way due to slop in your throttle cable. Check the play in your throttle, thumb or twist. There should be just the slightest play before resistance is felt. Any more & your slide isn't opening fully. If you need to adjust the cable, I have a file to explain how it's done. You can email me for it.

Yep.
Check if the carb opens entirely. On my banshee I see a little black spot on the carb slide (actually a small hole) through a samll glass on the side of the carb. If you have such a stuff, check it out.
Maybe it's the choke that doesn't turn on OFF.
That's what happens on my banshee when I forget the choke on. I gets some rev, but doesn't want to climb very high.
Hope it'll help
