alright. i have been at this thing for about 4 months now trying to get it to run. i bought it non running. the crank and lower bearings and top end were gone. i replaced the crank, bearings, seals, new bore and top end. also milled the head down a little. like ten thousanths. i rebuilt the carb and put an oil injection block off kit and i also put in brand new boyesen reeds. i then replaced the ignition coil and wire and plug. wont start for anything. i have just under 150lbs of compression and im using 87 octane shell fuel mixed 30:1 with spectra oil. i just kick it over and kick it over. i then can pull it behind another quad in about 2nd or 3rd gear and it will pop really loud and sputter and kick a bit but never will stay running for more than like 2 seconds. then sometimes this extremely dark oil will drip from the head pipe and im not really sure why. every single time i have fouled a plug i replace it. i cleaned the stator and the flywheel. it acts like it wants to start and will kind of run on its own after its been pulled awhile. maybe 5 - 10 minutes of pulling and it will pop really loud and then nothing and then it roars to life and about takes out teh quad infront of me adn then nothing and its just a never ending cycle until the plug fouls out compleltely. could it be the stator? im absolutely clueless but i have a ton of money and even more time in this thing. i want it to just run! please help!

 

Maby the float is stuck on the carb. My neighbors bike had his float stick and it just pumps gas into the cylindar and fouls the plug every time.

 

does it still have the tors unit on top of the carb?

 

tors has been cut off, float did stick and it poured out the overflow tube so i yapped it and it stopped

 

the wires that came off the tours,u have to cross them together are it wont run so bare the ends swist them together tape them start it ,

 

no u dont i just u pluged the black box and the wires from carb. mine runns fine that way
