Yes, I can vouch for Craycraft, I heard Kenz is good too.

So i should have them port it? I plan on doing the bore at a local shop, and getting a good piston and installing it myself.

Depends on how much power you want it to have. The cylinder head porting is the key. Someone unfamiliar with a Raptor's head flow characteristics won't do as near as good of a job as someone that is. It's not just as simple as opening up the ports. Mine have been thoroughly reshaped. Which includes actually adding material. As well as removing it.

i'd bypass hot cams all together.......
I've had a couple break.....and they are also very mild......both of them...if you are going to a 105mm bore....you'll have NO shortage of bottom end power regardless what cam you run.......I had a 685 web with my 740 and that thing pulled like a tractor

i would go with a 686 if i just wanted a fast trail bike.the only thing youll miss is a thinner wallet.i dont think the 727 is worth the extra cash in a mild build, ive built both with basicly the same set up,porting,stage2 cam,12-1 piston, ect

IMO if you are going to tear into it and split the cases for a rod install there is no reason not to machine the cases and get the sleeve put in regardless of whether you are going to go to 105mm or anything smaller. Might as well do it while you're in there, costs a lot more to do it twice.

Yea, id rather do it all one shot. Im going with LA SLEEVE for the 727 sleeve, and then looking around still for a piston. Like i said, ill probably get ahold of Kenz, or Craycraft, or anyother big builder to see what kind of pistons they carry and all about the porting. I had given LA SLEEVE a call, and the only 105mm piston they carry is a 12.1:1 piston. As far as my knowledge carries me, i thought about 11:1 is as high of compression you can go on 93 octane fuel. Anything higher needs 100+ fuel?

Im still debating on the camshaft also. Where can you buy webcams at for a decent price?---Rider1169
