YFZ vs BANSHEE
#341
You call my "R" an ancient beast??? I guess you don't know how long the engine they use on the banshee has been around...
As far as ancient goes, my bike is actually pretty new since it has been rebuilt from the ground up...
I STILL don't have $10,000 invested in it though I have advantages in that department... My buddy that had the YFZ never beat me on sand.
He ran same 110 octane fuel, same tires, same chance to win. This is only in drag race mind you. We never raced anything else.
Now, my little brother's banshee has LESS done to it and it is Faster than my "R"... It runs on pump gas.
It isn't in the things you add on really... Mostly that everything works togeather and is done right.
I have seen the YFZ beat my brother's banshee... That was on pavement and my brother was on struts not shocks. He couldn't keep it in a straight line...

i wasnt gonna reply to this caus of the whole fuel to the fire thing, but this damn topic keeps on coming back like fat chick nitemares from my own experience stock for stock/bolt ons. drag race 450 no problem BUT when you go into the motor, the shee transforms into a beast . you guys are crazy if you think a 450 will beat a shee ported polished etc in a strait line. this is not a biased opinion in anyway i currently own a 450 and sold a banshee to get it.

Dude, I have ridden with 250's for as long as I can remember, THEY ARNT THAT FAST! You would get KILLED by a banshee, and a yfz up to a certain point CAN KILL BANSHEE'S. .........................SO, how is a 250 going to beat the 450.
TextThats cool that your ancient beast beat up on some sucker on 450's, but that is CERTAINLY NOT THE NORM. 250's are in NO way fast, they are quick, and quick aint going to win you a drag to 300ft againt a 450 or a banshee. That is a bike you definately keep on the track. What I am loving is the fact that my 450, which is suppose to be a mx quad, is whooping 700's 660's and banshee's which are OPEN CLASS type quads.
I have ridden alot of quads even the new YFZ and its awesome. But your putting down a 250R one of the Best race quads ever. I dont think you undersand the HP you can get out of that little 250R. I have freinds that have Rs with 310 BB Kits and Cool Heads That will smoke a 450r anyway you look at it. 450r is a awsome quad too. Its all about how much money you put into one.
I race at Oklahoma sports park in ada. I just race novice class.
The guy that is leading the points in the PROs races a bada$$ 250R Now i do not know how much money he has in it. OR what he has in it couse he will not tell anyone.
I just hate to see a good quad get put down or any quad. I mean if you have it and you like it and have fun with it its a good quad.

The king of the drags will never be the 450's or your CRAZY 250, the banshee will more than likely always be the winner, unless somebody has a lot of work done to a 700-660. I just dont see the horsepower gains coming out of a 4stroke 660 or 700, that you can get out of a 2 stroke banshee!

I will add more pictures of my uncles "R"(the one in picture #8)... Mine is fast but his is faster. His is set up more for drag though. Extended swingarm and such. Mine is a 310... His is bigger and newer built.
