Rear shock top end bearing problem.
#1
Hi all.
I picked up a problem with the rear shock on my 03 raptor. Where the top of the shock connects to the frame, it has a bolt and two washers on each side that hold it in place. Inside the shock it has a "bearing" Not sure what you call it. It looks like a bearing, but it has a single ball with a hole going thru it. The bolt that holds the shock in place goes thru that hole. That bearing has play and when you lift the rear wheel of the ground, you can hear it make a clunk sound. Yamaha in their wisdom is not selling it separately. They want me to buy a whole new shock. No chance of that.
Anyone know of a company that makes a bearing for that thing?

I don't have thel ink on me right now but when i get home i will get you a part number and possibly a place to order it. Maybe if you go to a place that can rebuild shocks you can have them replace it for you.
