Warrior

I have owned my 2001 warrior since the year it came out, however I just began to come to forums to learn more about it. The one thing I have seen that seems to bother me is that every posting about a warrior turns out to be a posting about some other atv someone else has that is better. Why is this one big competition? Why are so many people who just ride and not race worried about speed and all of this? Everyone else’s machine is better then the next person. Why does everyone bash other machines except for their own brand?
This is my first atv. When I entered the market I wanted a Honda. Either a 300ex or 400ex. However I was reluctant to buy either of these for a few simple reasons. Red and Yellow being one very big reason. The other is the reverse issue. I ended up with the best of both worlds a 350 warrior "blue" not much better but not as common in my area with reverse. The 6 gears are wonderful when I actually use them.
And one last note: Why is it that since I have a racing "type" atv other people assume I want to race. Sure I bought this for speed otherwise I would have gotten a utilility with some fenders that keep mud and water out of my face. But when I am riding I don't want some stranger coming up to me trash talking already assuming I want to race. If I wanted to race I would take it to the track.
Anyway I own a Yamaha and I am very happy with it. I don't care if yours is faster, bigger, or better. I am the one pushing the gas, clutch and on occasion the brakes. So lay off of each other and enjoy the ride. It won't last forever.
