Default power and tires size on a 2004 kodiak

I have a 2004 450 kodiak. can i put a HMF muffler on it with out rejetting the carb and get more power.

I'm putting 26 inch mud lites on it with ITP wheels the question is I'm putting 9-12 26 on the front and 10-12 26 on the back I have a chance to put 10-12s on the front and 12-12 on the back. will I lose alot of power with the 10-12 & 12-12 tires or should i just go with the 9-10s and 10-12s

I'd go with the wider tires, I dont think that bit of width is going to effect the power much more than the norrower ones
I'm not sure, but I've bin told if you pipe, you must jet

Narrow tires are the way to go. Ya, you'll lose power the wider they are.

Even if you could find 8 inch tires for the front you would be way better off.

The benefits:

1. Less breakage

2. Lower rolling resistance both in mud, snow, and, dry ground

3. Better acceleration

4. Easier steering

5. Better handling

I have wide tires on my Grizzly................. and they suck.
