I have a '96 Warrior. Need to get the rear axle off to replace the bearings. The Haynes service manual mentions a 49.5mm wrench that attaches to a sprocket wrench (or torque wrench) to get the nuts off. It's made by Kent Moore Tools, it's just a flat piece of metal (1/4" think, at least) with cutouts for the nuts. I have looked online and asked a few dealers, but no one seems to have one (the service departments say they use a big-**** Crescent wrench.) Any idea where I can get one? I don't have a pipe wrench or 2" Crescent wench and don't want to fork over $30 for one at Home Depot. Any other ideas on how to get these things off?

i used impact gun . but they are right big a-- cresent will work. or 1/2inch breaker bar with socket will work to.. dont know of any thing else.

 

Well, I found a number for Kent-Moore, and they apparently do not make Yamaha tools anymore. Anyone know who might make the tool I mentioned?

usa a pipe wrench they work great i bet u can find one for under 20 at walmart

 

Motion Pro makes a set that I bought when I had a Raptor. It is actually a 50mm but I know it will work because I've used it on my brother's Warrior. These wrenches are the only way you will know for sure that you are applying the correct torque. If you overtorque, you risk damaging the threads thus making it difficult to keep your locknut tight.
