The budget class it ET bracket racing. LOL all you have to do is be consistent not fast!

I'm all about the run what you brung attitude! If we line up and you beat me then your faster and I still need to put even more $$ in my bike!

Honestly it all comes down to how much you are willing to put into a bike like RDZ said, and yes it is true it's cheaper to mod a two stroke then a 4 stroke.

I've said it 100 times before if I would have put the money I have in my Raptor on a shee then I would be the fastest guy at the track just about everyday!
is the shee really cheaper to mod tho? i know you have to buy pretty much twice the engine mods cuz it has 2 cylinders. right?

i think that you should buy what suits you and not what is going to be the fastest necisarily. did you buy your raptor cuz you wanted to have the fastest drag quad on the strip or were there other reasons? some people are all about winning and beating everyone. i think thats cool to win but this sport is more about just having fun. i dont care if you can beat me on your quad that costs 3 times as much as mine and that doesnt make you a better rider. im not saying that im a better rider than anyone, just saying that a better rider CAN lose on a slower quad against a not as good rider on a faster one. also a better rider on a "slower" quad CAN beat a not as good rider on a "faster" quad.

strongtyer... Yes the two strokes are cheeaper to mod and that includes the shee. Alot of it has to do with the number of builders that work on the shee. I know the cost for building the Rappy is starting to come down some now that more people are working on them.

The main reason I built a 4 stoke was I got tired of hearing that a 4 stoke wouldn't run with a 2 stroke and I wanted to show some people differently! LOL Also I wanted to build something a little different... most people at the track and at the hill climbs were running either 250R's, Shees, or 500 zillas. Not any were running Rappys when I started to mod mine.

You are right rider skill makes a huge difference... even in 300 ft you miss a shift and you are getting beat usually.

Later,
Mike
