OK so i have a blaster 04 model.....and you are all probably farmiliar with the T.O.R.S system, well when i was cleaning my carb my sisters boyfriend thought he would jump in and help......make a LONG LONG story short the screw on the tors called the "(throttle stop screw") was snapped from being tightened to hard......now i got the screw out of the tors box thing and my quad wont idle.........runs like sh*t when riding and has like NO low end power.....and it feels like it hits revlimiter very fast, it also feels powerless in 6th gear.. a freind of mine said the topend but i doubt it being a 04 and not been ridden nearly as much to need a new topend.... so i unpluged tors near the carb and does the same thing......im fed up with these blasters.......they are not reliable i take very good care of mine(((change all the oils after every 3 rides, clean airfilter/airbox/carb every other time i ride) and it always lets me down......I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS QUAD TO ANYONE WHO HAS A SHORT TEMPER...i need a four stroke.....looking towards a 400ex......good reliable 4-stroke machine......raptors banshees and yfz r to much but the 350 rapp isnt enough......so i think 400ex is right inbetween.........but what yall think about my blaster disaster?

I don't think it's fair to call it unreliable..The tors didn't break itself just kiddin man..I upgraded to a 30mm carb for my blaster and have the stocker with tors just laying in the spare part's pile..Snap a picture of what you need and post it so i know what your talking about and pm me your address and i will mail it to ya for free

Your blaster isnt a disaster, but you letting your sister's boyfriend near it was. Not Yamaha's fault you allowed him to screw it up, and the TORS system is good for inexperienced riders. The banshee also has a TORS system and the YFZ has a similar TPS that has basically the same effect.

Lethaface is being tremendously helpful and generous here, I suggest you take him up on the offer and make you appreciation known.
