Raptor or Banshee
#1
I have been deciding if i should get a raptor or banshee for some time now and just decided to ask you guys which one is better for what riding i do.
I ride few trails, gravel roads, and a medium sized gravel pit and i would ride fast on them i doun't ever ride slow anywhere unless i have to. If i got the banshee i would want to calm it down (but not slow it down) for some trails i ride on so if you guys have ideas for mods let me know about them.
The raptor sounds Like the best for it all but i like the sound and feel of a of a 2-stroke and can't decide can't decide what to get so any input is fine.

Before selling my Banshee, I had it set up for woods (moto-fast 2-into-1 pipe, smaller front sprocket, Holeshot XCTs and etc). Now I have a Raptor, and even in stock form, it will (from seat of pants feeling) smoke my old Banshee in the woods. The top end also feels faster than when my 'shee was set up for woods.
If you have the $, go ahead and get the Raptor. You'll be glad you did.
If you were in the dunes, the choice would be much harder to make.

Hello all! I can't say much about anything, from experience, except a banshee...Bash's old banshee to be exact. It is my first quad, I'm 27, and I ride on trails a lot. If it's descent 2nd gear trails, the banshee will do fine. When going real slow, you have to slip the clutch alot. It's a two stroke. I'm sure the raptor is the best alla around choice..but this banshee is awesome!

As an owner of both machines I would have to say it is tough to choose. My feeling is the Banshee is a better Dune and Fast Trail (fire roads etc...) machine and the Raptor is "well rounded" for most everything EXCEPT dunes or sand. Since my Raptor is in the shop for a second time, (this time getting an engine replaced) I have had time to get back on the Shee and realize just how much I liked it. Tough choice you have, but I think that once I get my Raptor back it will end up in the want ads under "Raptor For Sale". Just my two cents = )

If you are gonna be maintaining a reasonable rate of speed on trails (maybe 15mph+) the Banshee will do fine and be a blast to ride if you like 2-strokes. Actually...if you are gonna be going slower than that, a utility quad would be the only way to go on trails. The Raptor does pretty much everything a little better (including power everywhere). It is a matter of price, personal preference, and availibility. Also, on fire roads 15 feet and narrower at very high speed, the Banshee is scary is h$$$ where the Raptor is very predictable (in my opinion).

Is that crow baked or fried???
Buy a used piped and ported 'Shee and do EVERYTHING well for 1/2 the initial price.
Remember: Properly set up, a 2-stroke produces twice the power per cc than a 4-stroke. In other words, a 350cc 'Shee should be equal in power to a
700cc 4-stroke. And, results are showing this to be true--a modded
Banshee vs 660cc 4-stroke Raptor--is no contest.

That makes no since a Raptor is a 660 and it is beating 350 banshees and is not quite twice the amount of cc's and I beat a pipped Banshee yesterday with no problem.
