Hey everyone i own a YFZ450 that has a pipe,jetted,cammod, K&N airfilter,and Razor 2's on it.. I friend of mine is wanting to race me on his Piped YZ125.. How close will the race be. How much excelleration difference and top end difference... It will basically be a drag race..

Ive got a good buddy with a YZ, its geared so low that in a short distance race he takes off, but once we start gettin in higher gears his just makes alot of noise and thats it

 

the yz a light weight 2 stroke engine with a light chassis is going to beat the yfz

 

I was out riding with a kx 125, ktm 250, yzf 450. the 450 and 250 I pleaded no contest but I was able to beat the 125 by a fair bit. big difference between 250 and 125.

 

just a pipe on a 125 isnt gonna make that much difference he will probably beat u top end but getting there you should outrun him

 

I think youll be eating the YZ's dust until the finish line...but let us now how it goes when you do race him

 

Just yesterday I raced my friends on his KX 125. He pulled away hard at the start just cuz hes got a few mods and it hits like a hammer. It didn't take me long to reel him in and blow his doors off. You should do fine.
