Wolverine Tires
#4
Allynohairs, he said WOLVERINE, not Warrior, same motor, different drive train, no 4x4 would work with that tire set up !!!!!
Tman, the only thing to watch for when replacing only the front or back is tire size, you have to make sure the tires match the front very closely, or you could end up with drivetrain binding from the different tire sizes,as it would make the front and back gear ratios slightly different. Yes, the 489 xt is a 6 ply, and heavier, but will be almost bullet proof on the trail, compared to the stock 2 ply Dunlops. To be honest, your best bet is to replace all 4 tires so later you can replace the backs and know you are matching the fronts, and quit doing donuts and burnouts with the front end disconnected, your back tires will last longer !!!! ( a bad side effect of the Warn 424, but I'm afraid we are all guilty of it !! )

Do a search for that, I think a forum user by the name of airwolf did just that, used 10" rims and spacers or something, and put 22" racing tires all around. You would loose a little top end, but the throttle response and handling would be noticeably better, just cost you a little ground clearance and speed.
