Default New and Improved '06 Models from Yamaha

I read about the 700 Rappy rumor on YFZ Central. Seems someone was looking at ATV Scene or some other site, and they had a page with all the 06's on it, but took it downn quickly. As if they had it up by error! Same person said they had a 700 Rappy and 800 EFI Twin Grizzly.

Ironically, Dirtwheels has the title 800 EFI Twin and 700 Rappy on the front cover of their new issue. The 800 was a Bombardier and the Rappy was a LRD.

Either way, looking forward to what Yamaha pony's up. They HAVE to produce a new big bore bike. The Grizzly isn't the top dog (bear) anymore. Kawasaki ups the ante every year and Yamaha just sits by, idley watching

IF they do go 800 EFI and they put that same engine in a Rhino...... I may have to get rid of the Grizz

instead of making the raptor a 700...id be happier if they keep the same engine, and make the raptor wider. and lower to the ground.

I don't understand why you guys think the YFZ needs to be improved so much. Don't you realize in it's current standing it's the fastest, most expensive, lightest, most technologically advanced bike on the market now? Why are you guys wanting so many upgrades to it? It will just drive the price up and really not add much improvement to the bike. Even if they did move it up to a 450cc bike, what will that give you, .5-1 HP tops! Why is it such a big deal, just go out and have an old 450 bored out 10cc over and there ya go! The YFZ doesn't need any change, it's the best bike on the market and I don't this the new Suzuki is anything to worry about. Calm down on the 2006 "improvement" claims your just going to be even more upset when nothing gets changed.

My source says Grizz is a 800 twin non EFI but lower and wider with tons of torque. The 06 YFZ will be EFI and be even more race ready.

I thought 06 was the last year, and there would be no 07 shees. To me is surprising that there has been so much mixed information about the EPA regulations.
