warriorman, id be willing to bet that you cant beat my rappy, all i have is a yoshi pipe, kn and good jetting.

 

Only pay attention to people who have either owned or rode both. I own a kfx400 and my brother owned a raptor for 2 years. Now if your gonna race through wooded trails im sorry but its hands down the Z/kfx. Stock to stock the power difference isnt as much as you would think either. Ive seen this with my own eyes. If a lighter rider is on the Z and a heavier rider on a raptor then the Z can actually win in a drag race. Im talkin big weight difference though. For an example ive beat my brother before on my KFX but im only 150 and hes around 240. We switched out while we were riding all the time and he is a huge yamaha fan. thats all hes ever owned, even he will admitt that the KFX handles much better and is a lot more comfortable in pretty much any situation. But if your interested in moddin the crap out of the motor and drag racing a lot i would go with the raptor. I mean it is a 660! If you plan on just trail riding a lot and even doin some mx or xc then the Z/KFX is the way to go.

 

You can't really say one is better than the other for trail riding out of these two. Thats mainly in the rider. Case in point; I was the fastest with the 400EX on the trails with my pals but now with the Raptor...................I'm STILL the fastest on the trails with my pals. See where I'm coming from?
The only difference now is that when we get in a cleaning, I'm not left behind with the other 400s (EXs or Zs).............[img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
