Hi Trailmen, I have a green Kodiak, & to cover the scratches I soak mine after every use with Armor-All. There is also a marine polish which you can purchase at Wal-mart, in the boating section. It's a little pricey but it works quite well on scratches. It's used on fiberglass boats & yaughts for scratches and to bring out the shine. Give it a try. Good Luck......

My 2000 Kodiak is almost 4 months old now and is covered with scratches. The good news is that I mounted a Polaris plastic box on the back rack and it's scratched as bad as the Kodiak. It's my first quad and I love the Kodiak. I really can't fault Yamaha since the quad's been through everything Western Mass. has to offer. Other than lots of brake pads, this quad's indestructable and never faulters.
