blaster speed

Default blaster speed

If i put a 14 tooth spocket on my blaster what kind of top-end speed will i gain and should i change the year sprocket.

... 68? are you kidding me? thats more like what stock 400's run at. i'd say your blaster should be at more like 58-62ish
cuz stock they run at around 56 right?

I have a 14 tooth front sprocket and I got clocked at 63

That sounds about right, 62-63 mph.

Default blaster speed

i got clocked at 65 on one of those radars they put on the side of the road. is it off or is it possible that i could. i dident have reed spacer or timing advance at that time. the rest of the mods are at the bottom.

well, if its a police clocker then i doubt its off, if it is then it wouldnt be off by more than 1-2 mph.

so it can really go that fast? why do people laugh at the fact that a slightly modded blaster can do 60? dont understand

Because they can't get it out of their head that it's a a 200cc 2 stroke engine, they assume that it's an underpowered slow machine. And why would the 60 mph mark (WOW!!) be so hard to break, hell a stock blaster goes 57-58. With gearing changes you can hit the mid 60's and with extensive motorwork ( piped, air filter, ported, larger carb, larger airbox, reeds, nology ignition) and some high gearing they can be able to hit low 70's quite easily. And don't even bother with the 240 kits, all they do is provide extra torque, remember a properly built 200cc national race cylinder can KILL any 240 kit on the track.
