New Truck!!!
If you are looking to buy a lift kit or anything to do with a four wheel drive then look at www.4wheelparts.com I have bought two lift kits from them 6" for my ranger and 6" for my bronco. They have excellent service and a very good selection. I agree with not cranking the torsion bars as it makes the truck ride extremely rough.

New Truck!!!
this is kind of emberassing, but i didnt get the gmc, as my dad was gonna buy a new ford and trade his in. I told him not to, and he cut me a good deal on it, its an 03 supercrew fx4 loaded out. Its only got 24,000 miles and is practically brand new cause he kept it in the garage and only used it to pull race cars and quads.
Thank you all for your inout though.

Anyone who thinks that Dodge resale is not as strong as Chevy and Ford, need to go and do lease shopping between the 3. The Dodge has the highest resale percentage than the rest. Ie: Lowest lease payments. This means that the Ford and Chevy are priced higher and depreciate more in dollars and percentage wise than Dodge.
I am not bashing the others. Chevy rides like a marshmellow. If you like that type of ride, then this is the truck for you. Many of the owners of these trucks curse their brakes and the ABS issues. My father included. The new Ford half ton is a majorly quiet truck. But a 5.5' bed on a quad cab? And the 2500, and 3500 is still on 10 year old technology. No thanks.
In my opinion, Dodge has better styling and the Hemi's and their transmissions are rock solid. I have owned an 03 hemi quad cab, and now an 05 quad cab hemi. Didn't have a problem with the 03, and I even like the 05 better. I find it interesting that Chevy now offers 20" rims, as Dodge has been kicking butt on the styling front since 02. And the 2500, and 3500 stand on their own. The Cummins in these things have the most torque and hp of any of the trucks. And the tranny's to back them up. I can admit to the pre 02 Dodge trucks issues with Trannies and the valve guide issues in the 5.2 litre from 2000 and previous. However the 4.7 and 5.7 are great motors.
My Dodge complaints are:
And the Hemi rocks. Ford and Chevy don't have an answer for it. The Magnum, Charger, and 300M are flying off the assembly line, and the Hemi option is selected far more than originally expected.
I think we are all better off with the competition of the big 3, and the Toyota and Nissan. It all means better trucks and a competitive marketplace.
