Anyone tried to adjust the valves on their Raptor? I don't want to leave my machine at the dealer because I know they all want to joy ride on it. They probably don't have the service manual anyway.

If anyone has the specs, please post the info.

I had mine adjusted on tuesday. It runs alot better now. My 1st and 3rd intake valves were way loose and the 2nd was tight. I did not take mine to a dealer because they are morons. I stripped the front plastic and took off the gas tank, then took it to a local cycle shop took him 15 minutes and he charged me 15 bucks.

I got these specs right off of the microfische for the raptor.

intake .10-.15mm
exhaust .15-.20 mm
when engine is cold!!!

just curious, but could you describe "runs better"? I just wondered which part of the power range it helps.

Thanks for the specs. I am curious about the microfiche, though. Did that include parts also? I want a pair of the Raptor grips to put on my Banshee and I also need the correct oil filter. Can you get the part numbers?

Thanks,

Oil filter part# is 5DM-13440-00-00.
I paid $11.99 for them but saw much higher $$ in here?

Sholz, did you watch him do the adjustment? If so were there timing marks that he lined up? If not, do you know the crankshaft position when he checked clearances?

Banzai!!!!!!!!!!!!!
