He can't do anything now unless the ol man is a pushover. If the kid is worth it, have him refresh his dad's memory on his last report card. If it blows, he doesn't deserve the $500 handout. How about tell him to get a job. There is still enough summer left to earn $500.

Look for projects around the house that need to be done. . . clean-up, fix a fence, etc.

No guarantees but, it will be tougher for him to say no if you are looking for ways to make his life easier when he gets home from work.

Tell him that he will pay him when he gets a job, that he's beena good kid ( I don't really have a clue ) or just simply look for a cheaper one.

Tell him to get a part-time job for the Summer....mow lawns, pick-up aluminum cans for recycling, work at a burger joint.

The bottom line is when your buddy gets older and wants something, chances are he's going to have to pay for it out of his wallet, not his mom and dad's. This is a project (taste) of the real life!

I wish I could rely on my parents to help me get the toy I'm having to earn all on my own. Not to mention help pay a mortgage, utilities, insurance and for my two kids' college.

$500 is easy to get within a 60 day period if there is no school or other bills he's responsible for. All it takes is work ethic!!!

I'm all with this guy....try it man, trust this guy....It works, my dad's friend bought a TB250 and TB330 for like $2,500, the orignal price on them both were around $2,300 (each), when people see cash...they get greedy Hah, do it, I bet you $20 it will work

If its in there for 17, he would take 15, no doubt about it.

I dont know about less than that, though.
