If your quad has to sit outside, what is the best way that you know of to keep theives from stealing it?
I'm mean just short of a nuclear bomb of course. How would you do it?

Default Outdoor Security ?

I would dig a hole 4-5 ft deep. Fill it with concrete and put a metal pole in it. The pole would have4 ft of chain welded to it. I would put a pad lock through the end of the chain, and one of the holes in the rear disk brake rotor.

you could do that or i saw these cool things at gi joes they were made by kriptonight or master lock cant rememeber who. but they are like handcuffs. and instead of chains conecting the two loops its like beef atv chain, that cant be cut wid bolt cutters and have sealed pins so you cant press them out. amd put that around the axle and the other end to another bike. or something else that cant be moved i think there for bikes but they would work on a quad click this

Are you looking for a overnight type of security? Or, leave it in the front yard, while you eat lunch before going back out?

Reason is, if it's going to be unattended for a short period of time, during the daylight. Then, I say get the best chain/lock you can afford and chain it down where they cannot get a bolt cutter to, without spending to much time in the daylight. IF you were to do it at night, same thing but again, make it as hard as you can. Best way is to wrap the chain around the frame, underneath the quad and place the lock where you can only get your hands too And always remove the key.

However, the best way is to place it inside and lock it down.

Remember to try and put it out of sight. Behind a shed or behing a tree line. Also cover it up with a tarp, or atv cover.
