Kodiak Deep Water Test
#13
Actually the rear supposely is the one that inhales air and the front is the one that blows air out. You have to have 2 one to cool the air and one to release the air and the kodiak's is in a bad spot for deep water. Even the dealer told me that it could be in a better spot.

That very well may be true, but there certainly isn't enough "push" to keep the water out. The time that it becomes an issue (front or back) is when I lose forward momentum (even if it's for a moment), then the front will take on water real quick which in turn makes the belt slip, which in turn makes me lose more forward moment until it finally stalls on me. Someone has given me a good idea for the front. This weekend I'll be putting on a 2-3 inch snorkel "under" the rack and plastic. There are two drain plugs for the front, one high, one low. I plan on running a drain hose from the top plug. Hopefully (in theory) if I were to lose forward momentum outside of the snorkel should hold about a gallon of water and this might be just enough to buy me some time until forward momentum is regained and that water then drains the my drain hose. As I said, in theory it may work. I'll know for sure this weekend when I modify and then put it to the test.
