Default got a problem

ok i just put raptor shocks on my warrior they soak up bumps well. way better than stock. ............ but since they're so muhc longer it raised up the front of my quad alot! and made it way more narrow if anyone knows what would be the best way to add some stability to my quad i would appreciate it

i also like to jump my warrior if it makes any difference

Yeah, wider a-arms and an extended axle. It's nearly impossible to put shocks with longer-than-stock length shock bodies on stock a-arms. Even specially designed aftermarket shocks designed to fit on stock a-arms are still going to throw your ride height off by increasing it. Considering that you put stock shocks that are too long in a place where they are not designed to go, the only way to really get back to where you were is by putting on wider a-arms.

I realize this is costly and probably not an option. So you can try a couple things. First, soften the preload up on the raptor springs, as soft as possible. This will lower the ride height a little bit, but you may not like how it rides. You could try flipping your tires around, so the offset of the rim is reversed thus widening the front end about an inch or two. And if you're still not happy, your next option is to try wheel spacers. Spacers and/or flipping your tires around is not going to affect your c.o.g., but might give you a little bit more stability.

If you are unsatisfied with these options, there's nothing left to do but get wider a-arms. Considering you said you like to jump your warrior, wheel spacers are not a good idea. They are meant more for trail riding or flat track applications. Wheel spacers tend not to hold up to the stress of jumping and can crack. Good luck.

Using the rappy 660 shocks on a warrior with stock a-arms is real hard on the ball joints, and the ball joints can't be replaced without replacing the whole a-arm. What I would suggest is to buy a 2 inch lowering kit for the front end. These kits move the lower mount for the shock farther out from the frame, and the warrior would not sit as high. I think these kits are on ebay for around 70 bucks

In your case the lowering kit would make the front end sit 2 inches lower than it does now with the rappy shocks on it. That should put it close to the height it was with the stock shocks on it. There should not be any problems at all jumping it. I'm pretty sure about that but there is a chance that i'm wrong, so you might want to look around some more before you buy the lowering kit.

recon99 is right, you could get a lowering kit and that would take care of your ride height problem, however, I was considering this for my raptor a few years ago, and all the kits I looked at said the kits are not designed to handle the stress of jumping.

Good a-arms are all over the place, just pick up a dirtwheels and check some out and call around.
