The 502 kit requires to bore out the jug and re-sleeve it, but it's not bored to the limit. The 502 doesn't have a bad reliability issue from what I heard as long as an oil cooler is used with it. Since the motor is re-sleeved with the 502 it can be overbored when it needs rebuilt.
