Theres a local guy has some 2005 yamaha 350 four wheel drive and he wants 500 dollars cash for it. and after he sells it hes gona report it stolen or sumthing like that.Damn 500 bux i wanna buy it but i know u'd get caught somehow or would you?
I told one of my friends and i said u might be able to buy a diff frame with a diff model numba on ebay and replace that but idk really.

lol i know the only way i would buy it is if hes signs a paper saying i bought this bike s/n xxxxxxxxxxx model xxxxxxxxxxxxx
on date mm/dd/yy signed him and no ive just known bout this i have not contacted him and ur right he should get in truble for this really but if there was a way to buy it for 500 and not get in truble i would

Dude, you need to steer clear of that whole mess. Unless that bike is totalled, there is no way he's selling a legal 2005 for $500. The reason he wants cash is so there will be no paper trail leading back to him. Sounds like either a stolen bike, or an insurance scam. Even if you have him sign a paper or have witnesses. A court transcript of receiving stolen property (even dismissed with no charges) can really screw you up in the future. I wouldn't touch it.

a "bill of sale" WILL NOT protect you if the bike is actually stolen
if you are caught with a stolen bike,at the very least (if your lucky) will NOT be getting back the money you paid for it,,,,they will want who you purchased it from,,,and the bike will be returned to its rightful owner
this doesnt say they cant bring charges on you for receiving stolen property,,,if this guy is selling stolen bikes,he would probably be the sort that would tell the cops you knew it was stolen,just to bring you down with him
i hate a thief,and buying stolen bikes,just perpetuates the problem,and you may be next
