Alright, my problem is 'getting' the Grizzly Grease spect. per the manual for packing the V-belt sheives.
My buddy came over and helped me as he has done his before, its the first time for me. He let me use his last tube up and he doesn't have any more. I am going to need to replace his grease he loaned me and need to get more for myself to it again, I am estimating my belt is good for another 30 hours.
I called seven Yamaha dealers and only one had 1 old tube. The said they could order it for me but it would take them ten days, but they all had problems finding the part number and I got four different part numbers and responses from four different dealers.
In three cases I asked to speak with the service dept. as their parts department were compleatly lost. Both of those service depts said they have never used Grizzly Grease but one said they use a German product and one said they use regular moly grease nothing special and another said Bel-Ray.
Now for the part numbers they gave me. The first dealer said that Grizzly Grease has been superseeded by Ultramatic Grease and his part number was found under accessories: ACC- Ultra -GRSE another said its ACC-Ultra-GR-SE and another said ACC- Ultra - GRZZG.
I am sure that Yamaha doesn't make its own grease but has a supplier make it for them. However, due to the great heat of the sheives they felt preetly strongly about how Gizzly Grease held up for the chore as others tested didn't. So that said I want to keep with what Yamaha has spec for it.
Problem is, whats the right part number? I was starting to get the feeling that there may be several different Ultramatic greases for different purposes and I just what the correct one. The grease I'm looking is the one for packing the sheive and weights not the assembly lube for the pully shaft.
Thanks for any help I appreciate it. Can you call your local dealers and see what part number they are useing.

I have never heard of Grizzly grease but I use a lubricant called Gorilla grease
which is in a small tube, and is mainly used for anti-seize applications in muzzleloader
firearms. Probably not a help, but maybe.
