I just got my parts back from Craycraft. This is my second go-around on a 686 kit.

The first go-around was from a generic shop. I wish I would have just used Craycraft the first time. The difference in quality, knowlegde and detail is night and day.

From the first generic shop, the cylinder was dirty, the head porting was lame, the ring gaps weren't set. The headbolt threads were all full of filings and junk. They couldn't tell you how to jet it.

From Craycraft, everything was beautiful and perfect. You can see little tricks that they do too. The porting and head work is amazing. I am impressed.

If you are thinking of doing a big bore, I recomend that you don't go you your local joe machine shop. Take it to Craycraft who knows their stuff. Do it right the first time. Oh yeah, change the rod.

I will get it running tonight. Can't wait to romp it!

For sure you will be happy, you get that special touch and it as professional of a shop then any of the others, and when you can call up and talk to the owner on advice it dont get no better....

We are buttercup people because we have small kids that ride. It's less crazy there. We typically avoid the big weekends. We go to Glamis when it's just a guy trip.

Current planned dune dates for our group is Oct 21st and Nov 11.

That's why some of us are such loyal supporters, Craycraft Racing does not know how to take shortcuts. There is not an "inner circle" that gets special treatment, any customer can buy any build they want and be assured they are getting the same performance as everyone else. Congrats on joining the family!!

Dollar,

Are you a stroked 105mm bore or just a 106 mm bore?

I am guessing you have FCRs. How is the power band on that thing? Does she rev quick or is it just chain snapping torque?

it was a 106mm
it ran very well for a pump gas bike but time's have changedim bumpin the comp up alittle and going to a 105mm it should be ready to ride in a few week's but it still is a rider not drag bike
