2000 warrior need some help please!!
#1
just got a 2000 warrior that had been sitting for a year. we drained the gas, cleaned the carb really good, and changed the oil, and then fired it up. it started fine and idles fine, but if you give it gas it just back fires real bad. and if you give it a lot of throttle it backfires and then dies. all while in neutral. have not tried to ride it because of this problem. any suggestions on where to start would be helpful, THANKS!

If you cleaned the carb then you probably removed the fuel \air screw..When you put it in did you snug it then back it out two full turns...also check your intake boot .....double check the accelerator pump is free....and that choke is not stuck ....hope one of those helps

Check the Carb boot that goes into the head, take a flash light and shine it on the peice that connects it to the cylinder head. Mine used to do that and I was riding one day and it died and couldnt start it by pull start (didnt have electric start) and we had to try and push start it a couple times. after I got up to the top end of gears, it would start to cut out too. Went home and looked at the carb and stuff.. the carb boot was torn. Mine still cuts out a little when im in neutral and give it more than 1/2 throttle of gas really fast. Hope this helps

on the clutch handle follow the line that goes from the e brake down into the harness, dicconnect the hwite harness, but leave connected into the clutch assembly...and tie up the line and tuck down into the frame, i did the same thing for the same problem
