Hey. I just picked my 2006 Kodiak 450 up today. This wil be the first 4 wheeler this family has owned, and we are excited. I drove the 400 and the 450, and it was the 450 hands down. Got it in the camo.
Just wanted to say hello and I look forward to being part of the boards.
MR

Congratulations on the new ride, I've spent alittle time on one of those, they are a blast, not too big but not too small either, just right for mountain trails.

Went out for my first ride. My wife rode it too, and now she wants one!!
Is the "break in" period necessary? I didn't get it over 20, and it was a blast. It was also a lot drier in the pasture than I thought it would be.
Now, to find her one!!

i rode my Grizz like i planned on riding it all the time from the first day i brought it home from the dealership, and havnt had any problems, and still runs like a raped ape

one thing you do want to do is change the oil more often than necessary during the "breakin" period

congrats,and welocome

one last thing,,,,the addiction will run rampant through your family like a wild fire,,,lol

Yeah ride it like you will ride it later on. My kodiak has 500 miles on it and running good. It was my first machine also. They are sure are nimble machines!
