Can someone in the know please post the correct valve clearance specs for the Raptor? Also...has anyone been successful in adquiring a factory service manual? Are they available yet? What is the proper procedure for setting the valves? (in detail!) Thanks in advance for the help.

Scott...I have'nt had any luck obtaining a maintenance manual so far either. I had my dealer call and check on proper valve clearance. The proper cold clearance is 10-15 thousandths on the intake and 15-20 thousandths on the exhaust. If you have have adjusted valves on a 4-stroke atv or bike in the last 10 years you should have no problem. If you have never adjusted valves before, take it to your dealer. Good luck!

The service manuels are not available yet! Per Yamaha dealership they cost about $60.00. The Raptor Gensis Head has been out for a while & Yamaha should those specs. I would suggest you have the dealership do first service or another qualified shop. Save yourself a lot of aggravation down the road.
