Default Warrior 350 suggested fuel grade

Did a search, but nothing came up about the warrior. I have an 01 warrior and have run 87 octane fuel in it since i've had it. Are there are benefits to me running a higher octane fuel (93-94)?

I know you go higher octance when you have a high compression motor, but the manual doesn't even say what to specifically run. I know in cars, if you run premium when you you don't need to, you are just wasting money. What do you guys run in your warrior? But even if the higher octane isn't needed, wouldn't running the high grade fuel burn/clean the motor better (don't higher grade gasses have more/better chemicals that clean better than 87?)

BTW- I do notice my quad stuttering at high rpms sometimes, would this be due to it needed a higher octane, but this could also just be due to a dirty carb (I do plan on taking the carb off and cleaning it when I get a pipe/jet).

Dont waste your money, run 87 or 89 octane unless you are experiencing pinging OR have engine work done to it.

If the owners manual says 87/89 is recommended, then dont go higher unless you mod it. Tell your friend to read is manual.

Too low octane will cause pinging (you will hear it) Its detonation before its time. Sometimes on old engine that build up carbon deposits, compression will increase and 87 octane will be the cause of pinging too. So instead of taking the head of and cleaning you can run higher octane and solve your problem.
