Your opinion on my kids next quad
I have two 11.5 year olds, about 5'3", 100 lbs. They have been riding their LT80's since they were five and we sold both recemtly. They now ride the one 400ex I own and I have borrowed a 400ex or Z400 for the other. They have excellent judgement and are good riders. Do you think these quads, the 400ex or the Z400 are over their heads. I limit them to 2nd gear right now.
Then I was thinking about picking up the Z400 to have a quad for all of us but my son wants the 400ex. You think I should get him the Z and he would thank me later for the power/ride??

First,, Thats cool that you are teaching your kids to ride. If you are getting just an extra bike for them to ride, I would suggest you just keep it easy on the pocket book and find the best deal on a 400, which ever one that works out to be.. Either one will give them many years of fun..
I dont know about Arizona, but here in Utah, we have safety classes that the kids must go through and get a license. Or it could be a big fine for the parents..

Get them the 400's. Itll save you money in the long run as they grow into them. Maybe consider putting some sort of throttle adjustment screw on the quads so they cant hit the gas too hard. Also make sure they dont ride alone, if you dont already. And as always make sure they wear a good condition, well maintaned, properly secured, well fitted, helmet.
