help oil drain plug stripped
#4
your 2 easiest, and safest options are to
a),,,,if you have access to a tap,and die set, drill a hole in the center of the drain plug,,,tap it to the size of a bolt you have,,,then using "lock tight" thread the bolt into the drain plug, let the locktight set,and try to back it out
b),,,,go to sears,or auto parts store, and buy what's called a "easy out",,,,drill a hole in the drain plug, and use the easy out to back the plug out,,,,a easy out is a bit that has a reverse grip when screwed in from the threads of a normal bolt,,,its tapered so as to not lose grip,,,pretty handy tool, and they come in differant sizes
either way,if you need to drill all the wat through the plug, make sure you get all of the shavings that may be in the case,,,,just run some oil through the engine

Warriors are known to have the drain plugs get stuck and strip out, I had this happen already. It would be a cold day in hell before an easy out would remove one of these drain plugs once they get stuck so hard that it rounds out a 17mm(I think) head. My shop suggested a chisel and hammer to get it out, and that worked great. The good news is that the replacement plugs are 5 bucks or something close, and have knobby things around the outside so when they get stuck you can just break it loose with a hammer and punch instead of stripping the head.

I used a pipe wrench on mine. I am glad to know it is not just me!
