Default Will std. gaskets work?

I am getting the Raptor bored .40 over. Will the std. size gaskets work or do I need special gaskets?

They should work. My friend bored his warrior .40 over and he was able to use stock heaad gaskets. I also know a person that bored their raptor 2 mm over and used a stock gasket with no problem. I think it will work.

Sheew, good to hear cuz I had already ordered the Cometic gaskets,( like $50) when I ordered the piston not thinking. Got to get cylinder bored then i'll be ready to assemble. Do I need to take the piston and rings in with the cylinder when I get it bored or just tell them it is 101mm. Will they measure ring gap if I don't mention it? This engine building is all new to me so I am very appreciative for the answers you all give. It is very helpful. Thx.

Yes they will at least need the rings to bore and hone the cylinder, preferably the piston and the specs to go with it. Ring gap should be .016 for your wiseco. They should measure ring gap but I'd talk with them when you drop the cylinder and rings off to make sure you know what they plan to do.

Any machinest boring a cylinder should always ask for the piston for proper cylinder sizing. If not, take your business elsewhere.

All cometics are good up to 102mm (its the only size they come in unless you go to 105mm, which they have also)

Yep I learned that this last time around, ordered a cometic set for stock bore and a 102 came. The dealer and wiseco assured me it wouldnt be a problem and that its all they offer.
